Russian Strikes Across Ukraine Leave Four Dead, Many Injured

(MENAFN) Ukraine announced on Tuesday that at least four people were killed and 16 others injured following Russian attacks across multiple regions overnight, according to reports.

The country’s State Emergency Service (DSNS) said on Telegram that in the Poltava region, including its administrative center, two people were killed and seven injured. The strikes damaged residential buildings, a hotel, and industrial facilities. “Fires broke out, which were extinguished by firefighters," the statement said, noting that rescuers are working at the scene to remove debris.

In the city of Zaporizhzhia, one person was killed and nine others injured. The attacks also triggered a fire in a high-rise building and caused damage to nearby structures, the emergency service added. Another fatality occurred in the southern Kherson region, where strikes destroyed a private home.

Separately, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram that the country’s air defenses intercepted 365 of 392 drones and 25 of 34 missiles launched by Russia overnight.

“These numbers clearly show that more protection is needed to save lives from Russian strikes. It is important to continue supporting Ukraine. It is important that all agreements on air defense are implemented on time,” the statement said.
