Russia Claims Capture of Two Villages in Eastern, Northeastern Ukraine
In a statement, Russia's Defense Ministry said its forces had taken the village of Rozkishne, situated roughly 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) west of the frontline city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. In a separate advance, troops also claimed control of Okhrimivka, a village in the Kharkiv region lying approximately 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
The claims came after Ukraine's General Staff reported that Russian forces had launched four assaults on its positions near three settlements along the South Slobozhansk front — including Okhrimivka — signaling intensified pressure along multiple axes.
Ukrainian authorities have not yet issued an official response to Moscow's latest territorial claims. Independent verification of battlefield developments remains largely impossible given the active state of the conflict.
